This was a challenging case. The patient had two existing failing root canals on the left central and lateral incisors. The root canals were redone and the patient elected to only restore those two teeth. Only restoring the two teeth we were still able to close the dark spot between the centrals and correct some of the color discrepancy from before.
Unfortunately, this patient slipped while doing yard work and lacerated his lip and fractured his two front teeth. This photo is after we let the sutures come out and lip heals. There was too much trauma to the lip to start repairing the teeth right away. On this case I used e.max (all ceramic) to achieve very nice symmetry, shade, and shape match.
This patient came to us with failing composite bonding as well as misshapen and discolored teeth. After evaluating their teeth and having discussion of her goals with her and her husband we decided to place six anterior crowns for this case. I used e.max (all ceramic) which I find to be more life like and natural than matching her previous PFM (has metal) crowns on the back teeth.
