This is a prime example of how important it is for General Dentists to work with Specialists in order for the patient to have the best outcome. This patient came to me when other dentists had told her there was nothing that could be done for their gum recession. She said it was like that after childhood braces and continued to get worse with time. Working with an Orthodontist and a Periodontist who were able to move the tooth into proper position, and then do a gingival graft to cover the root surface. We were very happy to make this plan for our patient and they were thrilled with the outcome.
